Abstract
This law aims to ensure the continued operation of renewable energy plants in the province of Salzburg that use solid biomass or waste with a high biogenic content, in line with goals of sustainability, environmental protection, and energy security. The law supports facilities whose federal subsidies under the Ökostromgesetz 2012 (Eco-Electricity Act) expired between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2019. Its goal is to promote sustainability, environmental protection, and energy security. The law defines eligibility criteria for support, including technical standards, fuel types, and efficiency thresholds. It excludes plants that do not meet minimum requirements for energy efficiency, raw material supply planning, or environmental controls. The text consists of 17 Articles.
