Abstract
A piece of basic legislation in the field of electricity in the Land of Tyrol. Objectives of the present Law are: a) to make available electricity of high quality and low cost to economy and the people of Tyrol; b) to create a market organization for electricity complying with the EU regulations and principles for Tyrol; c) to increase the high part of renewable energy in Austrian electricity production; d) to create compensation for obligations of general interest concerning availability, security, regularity, quality, price and environmental protection; e) protection of people and environment from harmful effects generated by power plants; f) efficient use of produced energy. The text consists of 87 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Electricity plants, Electricity distribution (2); Running of electricity nets (3); Electricity producers (4); Admission to nets, use of electricity nets (5); Group of balances (6); Competent authorities (7); Provisions for organization (8); Penalties, transitional and final provisions (9).
