Veterinary Medicinal Products Application Ordinance 2010.

This Ordinance, issued by the Federal Minister of Health on the basis of the Veterinary Medicines Control Act (TAKG), regulates the conditions under which veterinary medicinal products may be supplied to animal holders and the modalities of their use. It establishes the principle that administration by animal holders is permitted only to the extent strictly necessary and under veterinary supervision, and sets detailed requirements for the release of products, including authorisation in Austria, the use of approved active substances under Regulation (EU) No. 37/2010, and the absence of legal or professional restrictions. The Ordinance provides rules on the publication of authorised products, quantities dispensed, storage and information requirements, and includes specific provisions for homoeopathic preparations and intermediate products. It further regulates the supply and use of veterinary medicines within animal health service programmes, including training obligations, administration routes and special categories of products, as well as separate provisions for vaccines and immunological castration products.
