Abstract
This Act is aiming to provide support for decreasing the pressure resulting from the increase of the energy costs in housing expenses in Vienna. The energy housing expenses include the costs for heating, hot water, electricity and gas. The Act identifies the persons who are effected or threatened by poverty in order to receive the subsidies and social assistance with regard to increase of the energy costs. The Act further provides on the procedure for grant of subsidies, classification of subsidies, consideration of flat rates for energy, energy support plus and data processing. The Act contains 15 Articles divided into 5 Sections.

This Law comes into force on 1 September 2022.
