Waste Disposal Site Ordinance 2008.

The purpose of the present Ordinance is to adopt by means of industrial and technical requirements such measures in respect of disposal sites, landfill and waste in general, to prevent harmful effects like the pollution of surface water, groundwater, soil and ambient air and in general as well as on the whole environment, including greenhouse effect, so that all connected risks to human health as far as possible are avoided or prevented. The text consists of 49 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Classification of waste and allocation of waste (2); Duty of waste treatment; prohibition of waste disposal (3); Acceptance of waste proceedings (4); Location of waste disposal sites (5); Technique pertaining to waste disposal sites (6); Waste disposal enterprises (7); Final and transitional provisions (8).
