Abstract
The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the treatment of waste. In particular, the purpose of the Ordinance is to ensure the environmentally sound collection, storage and treatment of waste to meet the objectives and principles of waste management by establishing minimum requirements for the collection, storage and treatment of waste. The Ordinance applies to hazardous and non hazardous waste. The text consists of 34 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Electric and electronic equipment (2); Batteries (3); Solvents and solvent-containing waste, paint and varnish waste (4); Waste harmful to health and medical waste (5); Amalgam containing waste (6); PCB-containing waste (7); Requirements for the storage of fermentation residues from biogas plants using waste (8); Transitional and final provisions (9). One Annex is enclosed.
