Abstract
The Ordinance primarily focuses on the regulation of industrial emissions, specifically targeting wastewater management in the food and beverage sector, including breweries, distilleries, and wineries. It aims to implement the European Union's Directive 2010/75/EU on industrial emissions, promoting integrated pollution prevention and control. The overarching objective is to minimize environmental pollution and protect water resources by establishing stringent emission limits and encouraging the adoption of best available techniques (BAT) in production processes. The implementation plan outlines a timeline for compliance with emission limits, requiring existing facilities to adapt within specified periods following the publication of the EU's BAT conclusions. It emphasizes the necessity for facilities to separate contaminated wastewater from clean water, reduce water consumption, and employ water saving technologies. Secondary themes include the promotion of recycling and reuse of production residues, as well as the reduction of product losses during manufacturing processes. The document also mandates the use of environmentally friendly materials, such as low heavy metal labels, to further mitigate environmental impact. The text consists of 6 Articles and one Attachment with regard to emissions limitations subject to Article 1.
