Abstract
The ordinance designates 18 areas in Carinthia as water protection zones (Wasserschongebiete), such as Ladinger Spitz, Sattnitz West, and Dobratsch, to safeguard important water resources. These zones are precisely defined in accompanying maps and coordinate-based data. Within these zones, activities are classified into four categories based on their potential risk to water: (0) no approval or notification needed, (1) notification required, (2) subject to approval, and (3) prohibited. Any measures falling under categories 1–3 must be assessed by authorities to ensure they do not harm water sources. Special attention is given to substances that may endanger water quality. The text consists of 4 Articles and Attachments.
