Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 1995.
The Regulations provide for the control and use of chemical products in general including: measures for the storage of chemical products; prohibition on applying agricultural chemical products by irrigation; chemical products requiring commercial operator licences; and certificates of competency to handle or use listed chemical products.
The Regulations further provide for: special precautions for handling and storing poisons listed in Schedules 6 and 7 of the Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Drugs and Poisons; restrictions on the possession and use of hormonal growth promotants; etc.
