Abstract
This Order, consisting of 153 sections divided into four Parts and completed by one Schedule, This Order permits activities that would otherwise be prohibited by a mandatory measure or by a regulatory measure implemented in relation to a biosecurity zone. It regulates Biosecurity Permitted Activities. It is divided as follows: Part 2 Mandatory measures—permitted activities (including Animal and Plant pests and diseases and invasive species); Part 3 Biosecurity zones—aquatic pests and diseases; Part 4 Biosecurity zones—plant pests and diseases. Schedule 1 specifies cleaning procedures for importation of grain harvester or comb trailer from Queensland.
The Regulation is divided as follows: Part 3, Biosecurity zones—aquatic pests and diseases; Part 4, Biosecurity zones—plant pests and diseases; Part 5, Biosecurity zones—weeds; Part 6, Notification; Part 7, Biosecurity registration requirements; Part 8, Accreditation of biosecurity certifiers; Part 9, Appointment of biosecurity auditors; Part 10, Approval of accreditation authorities; Part 11, Permits; Part 12, Miscellaneous. Schedules specify the following issues: Pests and diseases required to be notified (1); Mediterranean fruit fly host plants (2); Weeds (3); Ingredients in stock food—maximum amounts (4); Fees (5); Penalty notice offences (6).
Entry into force notes
This Order enters into force on the day of its publication on the NSW Legislation website.

Pursuant to section 404A of the Act and section 43 (2) of the Interpretation Act 1987, the Biosecurity Order (Permitted Activities) 2017 of 26 June 2017 and published on the New South Wales Legislation Website as 2017 No 292 is revoked, as is any Order revived as a result of this revocation.Last amendments up to 2018 (556) Biosecurity Order (Permitted Activities) Amendment Order 2017 (No. 2).
