Abstract
This Act applies to: (a) land in the Eastern and Central Division (and land in special land districts that are not in the Eastern and Central Division); (b) holdings, permissive occupancies and quarry licences created under the Crown Lands Act and situated in the Western Division; (c) incomplete purchases of land formerly comprised in leases under the Western Lands Act 1901. Further provisions regulate the following: continued tenures; incomplete purchases etc.; perpetual leases; term leases; yearly leases; special leases; permissive occupancies; quarry licences; commonwealth leases; freehold land acquired by way of exchange transfer restrictions; land held with closer settlement build-up holdings transfer restrictions.
The Act is completed by eight Schedules: Continued tenures (1); Provisions applicable to continued tenures etc. (2); Transfer restrictions (3); Subdivision of holdings (4); Rent etc. (5); Conditions etc. (6); Purchase of land held under lease (7); Savings and transitional provisions (8).
