Abstract
This Act, consisting of 75 sections divided into eight Parts and completed by two Schedules, regulates the transport, by rail or road, of dangerous goods and makes provisions for the safety of transport of dangerous goods to protect human health, property and the environment. The Act covers issues related to permits for the transport of dangerous goods, appointment and powers of responsible authorities and offences and penalties.
