Environmental Planning and Assessment (Savings, Transitional and Other Provisions) Regulation 2017.

This Regulation, consisting of 18 sections divided into two Parts and four Schedules, provides for the implementation of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Amendment Act 2017. It specifies the following issues: Interpretation—renumbered or relocated provisions of Act; Interpretation of transferred provisions not affected by transfer; Planning Assessment Commission; Sydney planning panels; Joint regional planning panels; Local planning panels; Mining and Petroleum Gateway Panel; Existing delegations; First local strategic planning statements prepared by councils; Planning instruments—local plan-making authority for pending proposals; Registration of consent on NSW planning portal; Construction of references to Part 5 or 5.1 of Act; Existing building and other Part 4A certificates etc.; Community participation plans; Public notification of reasons for planning decisions and how community views taken into account; Postponement of revised building and subdivision certification provisions, etc.
Schedules are divided as follows: Transferred savings, transitional and other provisions—former Schedule 6 to the Act (1); Transferred transitional arrangements on repeal of Part 3A—former Schedule 6A to the Act (2); Other transferred provisions—former Parts 1–3 of Schedule 7 to the Act (3); Transferred savings, transitional and other provisions—former provisions of Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 (4).
