Abstract
This instrument establishes a policy for the protection and management of the air environment of Queensland, it consists of 10 sections and is divided into 5 Parts. The purpose of this policy is achieved by identifying environmental values to be enhanced or protected; stating indicators and air quality objectives for enhancing or protecting the environmental values; and providing a framework for making consistent, equitable and informed decisions about the air environment.

Entry into force notes
Ss 1-2 of this Regulation enter into force on 12 December 2008 pp 2044–53. Remaining provisions on 1 January 2009.
