Abstract
This Act provides a coordinated assessment and approvals process for extractive industries, establishes a procedure for notification of proposed extractive industries to licence holders under the Mineral Resources Development Act 1990 and provides for the payment of royalties for stone extracted from Crown land. The Act contains provisions on authorizations and permits (Part 2), royalties, land rehabilitation (Part 3) and quarry management (Part 4).
