Fisheries Legislation Amendment (International Obligations and Other Matters) Act 2005 (No. 99 of 2005).

The Fisheries Administration Act 1991 and the Fisheries Management Act 1991 are amended so as to comply with international obligations of the commonwealth of Australia. The Fisheries Administration Act 1991 is amended in respect of disclosure of information relating to fishing activities that may involve a breach of the laws of Australia or of a foreign country. The Fisheries Management Act 1991 is amended in respect of enforcement of measures taken by the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) and offences and strict liability of Australian citizens in respect of offences committed outside the Australian Fisheries Zone.
