Abstract
These Regulations, consisting of 11 sections completed by three Schedules, implement the Fisheries Management Act 2007 by providing the management scheme for the Miscellaneous Fishery, consisting in all aquatic resources, including individual giant crab catch quota system and other than Abalone (Haliotis spp), King Prawn (Merlicertus latisulcatus) and Southern Rocklobster (Jasus edwardsii). They regulate licences and related fees, provide for the registration of boats, for the allocation of quotas and for catch and disposal records, ans set the specific provisions regarding the Giant Crab. Schedules specify the following: Aquatic resources prescribed for Miscellaneous Fishery (1); Competitive tender procedure for issue of licences (2); Revocation of Fisheries Management (Miscellaneous Fishery) Regulations 2000 (3).
