Abstract
These Regulations are in force under the Industrial Chemicals (Notification and Assessment) Act 1989. They contain various prescribed dates for purposes of the Act: prescribed data for the purposes of paragraph (f) of the definition of basic information in section 5 of the Act (reg. 3); prescribed data for the purposes of paragraph (g) of the definition of basic information in section 5 of the Act (reg. 4); for the purposes of the definition of synthetic polymer of low concern in section 5 of the Act (reg. 4(a)); Prescribed form of Inventory (reg. 5) for the purposes of subsection 11(2) of the Act. Regulation 6 provides for the inspection of Inventory. For the purposes of paragraph 24(1)(b) of the Act, each the inventory specified in regulation 7 is a prescribed international inventory of chemicals. Regulation 8 deals with assessment certificates. Regulation 9 prescribes authorities for purposes of paragraph 60F(7)(a) of the Act. Regulations 13 to 16 provide for fees for assessment applications under section 55 of the Act.
Entry into force notes
These Regulations enter into force on 17 July 1990.
