Abstract
This Act provides for the establishment of the Western Australian Land Information Authority to deliver core government services in land titling, land information and valuation.
The Authority shall undertake land information functions on behalf of the State, provide services to government that are required in the public interest, and provide goods and services which may generate capital funds to improve data quality and provide faster and easier access to land information.
The Act further provides for: the establishment of a board of management to govern the Authority and sets out procedures for the board’s operation; accountability to the Minister of the Authority through a strategic development plan; the Authority’s financial arrangements; etc.
