Abstract
These Regulations implement the Livestock Disease Control Act 1994 by providing for: the timing and manner of the notification of livestock diseases; the manner in which certain livestock are identified; the manner of certification of, and restrictions relating to, livestock, livestock products, fodder or fittings introduced into Victoria; standards and record keeping requirements relating to the testing for livestock diseases; requirements for the prevention of livestock diseases; the recording or forwarding of information relating to the movement of identified livestock; and for matters relating to claims for compensation for losses incurred due to livestock disease.
Entry into force notes
These Regulations enter into force on 19 December 2006.

Last amendments up to: Livestock Disease Control Amendment Regulations 2016.These Regulations repeal the livestock Disease Control (Cattle Tags) Regulations, 1987 and the Livestock Disease Control (Identification) Regulations, 1999.
