Abstract
These Regulations, consisting of 174 sections divided into eight Parts and completed by four Schedules, implement various provisions of the Mining Act 1978.
The Regulations cover provisions related to: mining rights; permits to prospect on Crown land subject of exploration licence; mining on private land; mining tenements issued for mining activities including prospecting, exploration, retention licences and mining leases; lodgement of mining tenement documents; marking out of mining tenements; boundary marks; fossicking; surveys; powers of inspectors; proceedings in wardens’ courts; application forms; etc.
