Abstract
These Regulations, consisting of 42 sections completed by three Schedules, implement the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 by providing specifications on the management of national parks. The Regulations provide for entrance to natural reserves, restrictions on the use of vehicles and boats, fire control, protection of animals, scientific research, pollution of waters, licences and legal enforcement. These regulations do not apply to a co-managed park constituted of Aboriginal owned land. A warden is not subject to these regulations in relation to the performance of his or her functions or the exercise of his or her powers as a warden and an employee of the Department is not subject to these regulations in relation to the performance of the duties of his or her employment.
