Abstract
This Act, consisting of 51 sections divided into four Parts and completed by two Schedules, provides for the establishment and management of the Nature Conservation Trust of New South Wales. The Act consists of 51 sections and is divided into the following Parts: Preliminary; Nature Conservation Trust of New South Wales; Trust agreements and Miscellaneous. The purposes of the Trust are to encourage landholders to enter into cooperative arrangements for the management and protection of urban and rural land in private occupation that is significant for the conservation of natural heritage, to provide mechanisms for achieving conservation of that heritage and to promote public knowledge, appreciation and understanding of natural heritage.
