Abstract
This Act, consisting of 141 sections divided into 14 Parts and completed by two Schedules, concerns the exploration and mining of petroleum in the territory of New South Wales. It consists of 141 sections and is divided into the following parts: Preliminary; Rights of the Crown as to petroleum, helium and carbon dioxide; Petroleum titles; Consent of other government authorities; Access arrangements for prospecting titles; Restrictions on titles; Protection of the environment; Royalties and fees; Registration of titles and dealings; Inspection and control; Easements and rights of way; Compensation; Wardens and officers; Release of information and Miscellaneous.
