Abstract
The Plumbing and Drainage Regulation 2019 contains under the Part 2 the approval of Queensland Plumbing and Wastewater Cod Codes and code requirements. Part 3 and schedule 4 concern licenses and identifies the scope of work under s 13 of the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018 (the Act): (a)the scope of work for a plumbers licence is the plumbing work mentioned in schedule 4, part 1; and (b)the scope of work for a drainers licence is the drainage work mentioned in schedule 4, part 2; and (c)the scope of work for a restricted licence of a type mentioned in schedule 4, part 3, column 1 is the plumbing or drainage work mentioned opposite the type of licence in part 3, column 2 of the schedule.
Part 4 provides for treatment plant approvals and related matters, applications, criteria for decision, duration and transfer of approval, inspection, etc. Part 5 regulates Permit: this part is about applying for, issuing and amending permits to carry out (a)permit work; or (b)notifiable work; or (c)both permit work and notifiable work. It concerns permits issued by local governments, permits issued by public sector entities. Part 6 is about (a)inspecting work and alternative procedures for deciding whether or not work is compliant; and (b)procedures for assessing work; and (c)giving action notices for work; and (d)giving inspection certificates and final inspection certificates for work. Part 7 concerns installation, maintenance and related matters, such as monitoring particular types of greywater, vents, etc. Part 8 is on Registers and Part 9 miscellaneous provisions.
