Abstract
This Act introduces new provisions in Part 9 ("Miscellaneous") with respect to compensation for the acquisition of property by the Commonwealth for purposes of the Act. If the operation of this Act would result in acquisition of property otherwise than on just terms, the Commonwealth is liable to pay reasonable compensation (comma (1)). If no agreement on compensation can be reached, the person who should receive compensation may apply the Federal Court.
