Abstract
The object of this Regulation is to remake, with minor amendments, the provisions of the Rural Lands Protection (General) Regulation 2001 which is repealed on 1 September 2010 by section 10 (2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989. It deals with the following: (a) matters relating to the making and levying of rates and the filing of annual returns (Part 3), including the prescription of a minimum area that makes land rateable land for the purposes of the Act (Schedule 3), (b) the use of travelling stock reserves and public roads (Part 4), (c) the use of stock watering places (Part 5), (d) the circumstances in which stock will be treated as not unattended for the purposes of impounding (Part 6), (e) the transport of stock by vehicle (Part 7), (f) the prescription of the NSW Pest Animal Council as the body that must be consulted before making certain pest control orders under the Act (Part 8), (g) the establishment and administration of schemes for the identification of stock (Part 10), (h) matters relating to the election of directors of livestock health and pest authorities (Schedule 1), (i) other miscellaneous matters (Parts 1, 2, 9 and 11 and Schedules 2 and 4).
