Water Management Amendment Act 2010.

This Act amends the Water Management Act 2000. Amendments include: insertion of a new section 60I on access licences required for water used in mining activities; insertion of a new section 120A on entry and investigation powers of authorized officers appointed by water corporations; insertion of a new section 125A on offences to contravene operating licences; insertion of a new section 136A on charges for water illegally taken and damage to works; insertion of a new section 137A on liability for water source; substitution of Parts 2 and 3 with a new Part 2 dealing with private water corporations; insertion of new divisions 2-9 to Chapter 4, Part 4 on the management of private water trusts, operational functions, sale and transformation of water entitlements, changes to private water trusts, rates and charges, finance, winding up of private water trusts and other provisions; insertion at the end of Schedule 9 new provisions consequent to the enactment of this amendment; and minor changes to sections 91I(3), 106, 221, 222, 342, 343, 354, 359, 368, 375, 397, etc.
