Agreement on basic principles of cooperation in the sphere of peaceful use of the nuclear energy.

The cooperation shall be carried out in the following fields: (a) joint operation of nuclear power plants and equipment; (b) joint arrangements for the prevention of nuclear accidents and the mitigation of the consequences thereof; (c) exchange of information on radiation safety; (d) research and development; (e) transfer of nuclear materials and joint projects in the sphere of electric energy production; (f) exploration and mining of the uranic ore deposits (art. 2). The Contracting Parties shall promote exchange of specialists (art. 3). Nuclear materials, nuclear power plants and equipment shall not be used for military purposes and arms production (art. 6).
