Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on cooperation in the field of protection against natural and other disasters.

This Agreement regulates the framework for the voluntary provision of mutual assistance in the event of a disaster occurring on the territory of the other Party, cooperation in the field of disaster mitigation, and the conditions for other types of mutual cooperation. The cooperation between the Parties shall cover in particular the following areas: (i) exchange of scientific and technical knowledge and experience in the field of disaster prevention; (ii) education and training of personnel involved in protection and rescue activities; (iii) development and production of protection and rescue equipment; (iv) warning of disaster risks and their consequences; (v) cooperation in the field of protection and rescue in the event of disasters, as well as in the elimination of their consequences. The Parties support cooperation between humanitarian organizations of both Parties in the field of disaster management. The Parties shall inform each other of threats or risks or disasters affecting each Party. In the event of a disaster, the Parties shall simplify procedures for the temporary import, export and transportation of protection and rescue equipment and disaster relief across the state border. The Parties may make amendments to this Agreement through protocols. The Parties may make amendments to this Agreement by mutual written consent. This Agreement shall be valid for indefinite period unless terminated by written notice requiring three months through diplomatic channels.
