Abstract
This Agreement sets out a framework for cooperation in the field of plant protection and quarantine between Azerbaijan and Latvia. The parties agree upon improving trade of plant and plant products by carrying out plant quarantine and protection measures to prevent transition of the quarantine pests to the Parties’ territories. It is stated in the Agreement that, the contracting parties will agree to exchange information and assistance in scientific and technical level. The Contracting Parties will also agree to set up training programs, mutual business trips and conferences. National Plant Protection Organizations shall be established by the contracting parties. The dispute may be solved by negotiation between the Parties. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. The Agreement is valid for five years and is automatically renewable with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
