Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Hellenic Republic on cooperation in the field of agriculture.

By the Presidential Decree № 198 dated 27 June 2014, Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Hellenic Republic on cooperation in the field of agriculture was approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation on agriculture, food industry, crop production, vegetable and fruit growing, viniculture, seed growing, animal husbandry, animal breeding, forage plant breeding, plant protection and pest management and veterinary services. The Parties shall develop the cooperation by (i) exchange of scientific and technical documents, (ii) exchange of genetic materials of plants and animals for scientific research, (iii) exchange of experience and information on scientific research, irrigation systems, quality standards and control, labeling, marketing, ecologically clean production, agri-environmental indicators, soil management and on mapping, (iv) supporting joint ventures in each country and (v) developing marketing projects. The Parties may organize seminars, conferences and training programs. A Joint Committee shall be established by the contracting parties. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. This Agreement shall be valid for five years and is automatically renewable with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
