Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Montenegro on cooperation in the field of environmental protection.

By the Presidential Decree No. 718 dated 24 December 2015, Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Montenegro on cooperation in the field of environmental protection was approved. The Parties agree upon carrying out activities regarding biodiversity conservation, waste management, sustainable forest management, protection of water resources from pollution and depletion, adaptation to climate change, forest fire fighting and protection of trans-boundary waters. The Parties shall develop the cooperation by exchange of information, documents, experts, projects, experiences and best available technology. The Parties may organize training programs, conferences, symposia. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved by negotiations and consultations between the Parties. This Agreement shall be valid until one of the Parties exercises its termination rights requiring three months written notice.
