Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Austria on economic, agricultural, industrial, technical and technological cooperation.

By the Law № 617-IQ dated 1 February 1999, the Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Austria on was approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation on (i) reciprocal trade and investments, (ii) agriculture and forestry, (iii) food industry, (iv) electronic and electric industries, (v) metallurgy and metal processing industry, (vi) mining and mineral resources, (vii) gas industry, (viii) hydro power generation, (ix) oil and petrochemical industries, (x) protection of environment and nature, (xi) plant protection, (xii) water management and (xiii) recycling and handling of waste. The Parties shall develop the cooperation by transfer of technology and know-how and exchange of information and experience. The Parties may organize seminars, conferences and reciprocal visits of experts. A Joint Commission shall be established by the contracting parties. The dispute may be resolved by consultations through the Joint Commission. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. This Agreement shall be valid for two years and is automatically renewable with termination rights requiring two months written notice.
