Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tajikistan on cooperation in the field of plant protection and quarantine.

By the Law № 1127-IVQ dated 16 December 2014, Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tajikistan on cooperation in the field of plant protection and quarantine was approved. The Parties agree upon carrying out activities regarding phytosanitary and quarantine control, as well as at the border checkpoints, preventive measures for import, export and transit of harmful organisms under quarantine, import quarantine permit and phytosanitary certificates, compliance with International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 13 and No. 15, implementation of quarantine measures and identification of quarantine pests. Furthermore, the Parties agree upon the list of harmful organisms under quarantine as an integral part of this Agreement. The Parties shall develop the cooperation by exchange of information, regulations, rules and laboratory test results in the field of plant protection and quarantine. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved by negotiations and consultations between the Parties. This Agreement shall be valid for five years and is automatically renewable with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
