Abstract
This Agreement sets out a framework for cooperation in the veterinary field between Turkey and Azerbaijan. The Parties agree to cooperate in issues, such as: animal health, animal diseases, animal products, food hygiene, public health and implementing veterinary health certification system for export. It is stated in the Agreement that, the Contracting Parties will agree to exchange information, experience and research results of monitoring of residues in animal products and the Contracting Parties will develop mutual technical assistance and expertise on surveillance, prevention and control of animal diseases. The Contracting Parties will also agree to organize emergency meetings with the written request of one of the Contracting Parties, in the case that requires immediate measures to control and prevent epizootic animal diseases. The disputes may be solved by the representatives of each Contracting Parties’ national authorities, continuing disputes will be solved by diplomacy. This Agreement may be amended by new Protocols with the consent of the Contracting Parties. The Agreement is valid for one year and is automatically renewable with termination rights requiring two months written notice.
