Agreement on cooperation in the field of environmental protection between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania.

The Parties agree on establishing, maintaining and strengthening direct relations between the organizations operating in the field of environmental protection, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the field of environmental protection through improving environmental conditions. The cooperation between the Parties in the field of environmental protection covers the following areas: (i) climate change; (ii) prevention and reduction of environmental pollution; (iii) waste management and reuse; (iv) soil conservation; (v) environmental impact assessment; (vi) environmental technologies; and (vii) other areas of cooperation deemed necessary by the Parties. The disagreement may be solved through negotiation and consultations. The Parties may make amendments to this Agreement by mutual written consent. This Agreement shall be valid for indefinite period unless terminated by written notice requiring three months through diplomatic channels.
