Abstract
International hydrometeorological network shall be composed of the national hydrometeorological monitoring networks of the Contracting Parties supplying information regarding hydrometeorological conditions and the state of environment (art. 1). The tasks of the International hydrometeorological network shall be: (a) data collection and reporting on hydrometeorological conditions and the state of environment, including pollution control; (b) access to information related to surface water pollution levels, water consumption from transboundary waterbodies and observation of transboundary effects of air pollution (art. 3). The Contracting Parties shall supply International hydrometeorological network with measurement instrumentation and equipment and shall have free access to information obtained by the previously mentioned network (art. 6).

The Agreement entered into force on 23 August 2002.
Notes
The period of validity shall be five years and the Agreement shall be automatically extended for the subsequent five-year periods unless otherwise decided by the Parties.
