Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of veterinary and animal health.

Presidential Decree № 912 of 20 May 2016 approves the Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of veterinary and animal health. The Parties agree upon using OIE codes to control, prevent and eliminate the spread of the terrestrial and aquatic animal diseases, control and monitoring system, as well as safe international trade of products of animal origin, veterinary medicines and animal feed according to the OIE standards and codes. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of information regarding animal diseases and recovery processes, preventive measures and in respect thereof new scientific, research and technical achievements, and furthermore cooperation in the field of import, export and transit of goods in accordance with the sanitary, quarantine and diagnostic instructions set forth in the Code. A Joint Committee shall be established. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved through consultation. This Agreement shall be valid for five years and may be extended for successive periods of five years unless terminated by written notice requiring six months.
