Cooperation Agreement in the field of energy between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Parties agree on cooperating in the field of energy, covering the following areas: (i) oil, petrochemicals, gas, electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency; (ii) circular carbon economy and its technologies to mitigate the impacts of climate change; (iii) digital transformation and innovation in the energy sector; (iv) partnerships between the Parties for the localization of materials, products and services related to all sectors of energy, supply chains and its technologies; (v) cooperation with companies specialized in the energy sector; (vi) innovative uses of hydrocarbon materials in various sectors; (vii) conducting joint research in the energy sector with universities, research centers and others and organizing working sessions, panel discussions, seminars and multilateral conferences; and (viii) building human resources through training, experience and information exchange related to the energy sector. The disagreement may be solved through consultations. The Parties may make amendments to this Agreement by mutual written consent. This Agreement shall be valid for five years and may be extended for successive period of five years unless terminated by written notice requiring six months through diplomatic channels.
