Joint Declaration of Intent on bilateral cooperation and mutual assistance between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Republic of Germany.

By the Presidential Decree No. 449 dated 27 August 2009, Joint Declaration of Intent on bilateral cooperation and mutual assistance in the field of civil defence between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany was approved. The parties agree upon preventing natural and man-made disasters and elimination of consequences by carrying out analyzes and evaluation for disaster management and by strengthening forecasting system and monitoring. The parties shall develop and strengthen the cooperation in the field of civil defence by exchange of experience, information, assistance in scientific and technical level. The Ministry of Emergency Situations shall ensure the implementation of the Joint Declaration of Intent.
