Law No. 1055-VIQ on State Funds.

This Law determines the organizational, legal and economic foundations of activities in the field of creation and management of state funds. Article 6 lays down the duties of the State in the field of state funds, as follows: (I) to determine the list of strategically important goods, the risks of a sharp increase and decrease in prices in terms of the state of supply of these goods to the consumer market; (II) to ensure the supply of strategic funds and emergency and mobilization funds within the framework of civil defense measures and mobilization readiness of Azerbaijan, as well as the selection of suppliers; (III) to monitor strategically important goods (including goods supplied by market participants); and (IV) to compile the country's food balance.
