Abstract
The present Law establishes legal and economic bases of standardization that is compulsory for all executive bodies, local self-government, enterprises, entrepreneurs, as well as for social associations. State protection of the interests of consumers, state and economic entities is regulated by the present Law and by normative documents on standardization elaborated and applied in accordance with it. The document consists of IV Secs. that contain 14 Arts. Section I (arts. 1-4) lays down general provisions. Section II (Arts. 5-9) regards normative documents on standardization and their application. Section III (Arts. 10-12) regards state control over the observance the requirements of standards. Section IV (Arts. 13-14) regards financing state standardization and state control.
