Abstract
By the Presidential Decree No. 140 dated 11 April 2014, Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Bulgaria on cooperation in the field of environmental protection was approved. The Parties agree upon carrying out activities regarding the protection of ozone layer, implementation of organic farming practices, waste management, water resources management, biodiversity conservation, management of protected areas, trans-boundary water and air pollution, global climate change and meteorology, environmental impact assessment and environmentally sustainable land use. The Parties shall develop the cooperation by exchange of information, experience, experts and best available technology. This MoU may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved by negotiations and consultations between the Parties. This MoU shall be valid for five years and automatically renewable with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
