Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Qatar in the field of wildlife conservation and protection of its natural resources.

By the Presidential Decree 1390 of 15 May 2017, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Qatar in the field of wildlife conservation and protection of its natural resources has been approved. The Parties agree upon protection of habitats of wild birds, especially hawks, establishment of centers for hawks, and hunting regulations in accordance with the principles and standards adopted by Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of information and technical documents. The Parties may organize conferences at regional and international level, workshops, symposiums, and scientific meetings. This MoU may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved through negotiation or consultation. This MoU shall be valid for five years and may be extended for successive periods of five years unless terminated by written notice requiring six months.
