Ministerial Decree No. 149 on approval of the Charter and structure of Azerbaijan Amelioration and Water Management Open Joint Stock Company.

The Azerbaijan Amelioration and Water Management Open Joint Stock Company has been established by Presidential Decree No. 372. This state-owned joint stock company shall render state services in the field of land reclamation and water economy. This Decree sets forth provisions on legal status, functions, structure, accounting, reporting, control, supreme governing body, executive body, chairman, internal audit and financial control mechanisms, relationships with affiliated companies, reorganization and cancellation of Azerbaijan Amelioration and Water Management Open Joint Stock Company. Azerbaijan Land Reclamation and Water Management OJSC in accordance with the Charter provides with water various sectors of the economy, arranges exploitation of state-owned land reclamation and irrigation systems, ensures state control in water use and protection, removal of saline waters from reclaimed lands, arranges measures to combat against the flood, prepares main scheme of complex using of surface water resourses and protection, prepares basin and territorial schemes together with relevant state bodies, and ensures the use of trans-boundary water objects.
