Ministerial Decree No. 174 on the approval of regulations in the field of forestry.

This Decree approves the Regulation for compensation for damage caused to forest users in connection with the repossession of forest lands and the Regulation for organizing and conducting mandatory certification of firewood and secondary forest resources.
The Regulation determines the compensation for damage caused to legal entities and individuals granted the right to use forest fund lands, regardless of their ownership and organizational legal form, in connection with the repossession of forest lands. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources shall establish a commission based on the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to determine the damage caused to forest users in connection with the repossession of public forest lands. The Commission takes into account the expenses spent on deforestation, forest permits, forest plantations, nurseries, orchards and the cultivation of young trees and the construction of various types of temporary residential and farm buildings built in connection with forest use on reclaimed forest lands.
The Regulation for organizing and conducting mandatory certification of firewood and secondary forest resources lays down rules on certification of these resources due to their biological characteristics, high quality, phytosanitary and environmental standards and other parameters.
