Ministerial Decree № 256 on aquaculture.

This Decree shall apply to real and legal persons engaged in aquaculture. This Decree sets forth provisions on aquatic species and economic activities in the field of aquaculture in Article 2, development and use of aquaculture infrastructure in Article 3, rules for aquaculture in natural and artificial fishing areas owned by the state and the municipality in Article 4, biological and technological basis of aquaculture in Article 5, acclimatization and displacement of aquatic species to maintain biological diversity and productivity of marine species and habitats in Article 6, the establishment, operation and management of aquaculture hatcheries in Article7, quality, safety, marketing and trade of aquaculture products in Article 8, registration in the field of aquaculture in Article 9, control over aquaculture activities for the management and conservation of aquatic resources in Article 10, and limitation, suspension or termination of aquaculture activities in Article 11. The aquatic environments and technologies are listed in Annex-I, aquaculture activities and biological, ecological and morphological characteristics of fish and aquatic resources are listed in Annex-II and Annex-III, and information regarding fish breeding and aquaculture activities are listed in Annex-IV.
