Ministerial Decree No. 287 on examination of biologically active food additives.

This Ministerial Decree lays down procedures and principles for the application for the examination of the biologically active food additives and requirements for the composition and packaging of biologically active food supplements. The examination of biologically active food additives shall be conducted by the Ministry of Health. The applicants are obliged to add sample as well as set of documents and information in the fields of the origin, HACCP, GMP, labelling, active components and excipients and quantity, certification of pesticide- and residue-free claims, standards and technical requirements. This Ministerial Decree underlines that the instructions for the use of biologically active food supplements shall be in Azerbaijani and shall contain all relevant information in order to protect the consumers.
