Presidential Decree No. 1289 on electronic water management information system.

This Decree provides for the automation of data creation, collection, processing, storage and search with the aims of electronicization of the annual water management balance of Azerbaijan, assessment of water resources in the main water and water management facilities of the country, implementation of control electronically over the operation of sub-artesian and artesian wells, increasing efficiency in the use of water resources, improving accounting and management, and ensuring operational coordination in this area. It lays down provisions on the functions, structure, technical and technological infrastructure, and integration of the electronic water management information system; and the functions of operators, participants and users.
